Timeline of Work

Reverse order

A few major milestones include upgrading to my Canon 70D (2014) which I still use today, my 2014 Advanced Photography class (2014), buying my Sigma Art F1.4 30mm lens (2017), and moving to Milan (2019) where I entered the world of Fashion and Editorial photography.

Besides portraits and conceptual projects I also have done a lot of travel photography and street photography. I also work with photo scanning and restoration and have a large collection of that work and had a solo exhibition in Milan in January 2020.

2022

28 years old, Munich.

2021

27 years old, moved from Milan to Munich.

Living in Munich brought new challenges, the different culture meant that fashion photography was no longer as accessible.

2020

26 years old, Milan.

The pandemic brought everything to an aggressive halt, this was very problematic for portraiture work, but later in the year it became possible to still do some photoshoots with safety precautions.

2019

25 years old, Milan.

Almost by accident I entered the world of Fashion and Editorial Photography and found it to be so much more fun and rewarding than I imagined. I worked with some very talented and kind people and learned so much from them. I started offering photoshoots to tourists wanting to commemorate their visit to Milan and it started to really take off by the end of the year and was great practice in getting to know and make use of my city.

2018

24 years old. Product Photographer, San Francisco.

As the political climate evolved, I started attending and photographing more protests. Near the end of the year I traveled to Italy in search of inspiration and work opportunities via teaching English.

2017

23 years old. Graduated with my BA in Photography with minor in Journalism and Art History. Began work as a Product Photographer in San Francisco.

I finished a great internship, which helped me get a grip on editing, in Reno and moved to San Francisco in September to start working at The RealReal. And I almost immediately purchased my Sigma Art F1.4 30m lens, which had had a huge impact on my photos and elevated my portraiture.

2016

22 years old. Bachelor student, University of Nevada.

Studied a second time in Viterbo, Italy from May to August. My dog passed away one week before leaving while I was in the middle of a self-portrait-a-day project. I started having clients for portrait sessions more regularly.

2015

21 years old, Bachelor student, University of Nevada.

Studied in Viterbo, Italy from January through June. Afterwards I was inspired and changed my major to Photography and continued Journalism studies as a minor. I mainly have travel photos from this period so I have included a few highlights.

2014

20 years old, Bachelor student, University of Nevada.

In the fall I bought my Canon 70D, although it is not a full-frame sensor, it was a game changer). I started my “Advanced Photography” course and created my most aspirational project “The Woman in the Ad”, which addressed the culture of sexual objectification and sexual violence against women in advertising.
