New COVID-19 Variant Prompts Fresh Restrictions

MUNICH, Germany – While cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 spread across Munich and the world, public spaces continue to bustle, now with a few creative restrictions. Although it is allowed to walk outside without a mask in Munich, shoppers must wear a mask at all times indoors and be able to show proof of being fully vaccinated for being permitted to enter shops. Despite the new variant and restrictions, the city center remains busy and full of shoppers.
